I'm going into grade 10, and i like a guy going into grade 8...?

So i really like this guy, and i know he really likes me. But i dont know if it would be "creepy" to date him, or if people would make fun of me for it? Do you think its a good idea? The thing is I've been in a lot of bad relationships lately. (I was physical abused, and forced into things.. etc) But thats all over and done with, so don't worry about it. The thing is, I just want someone who would be good to me. & i know he would treat me right.. I've ALWAYS dated older guys, and a few my age.. but i dont know.. Do you think it would be weird or something? should i go for it, or go onto the next.
