What should I say to him?

I like this guy, there is an 8 year age difference (I'm 18 and he's 26). I've talked to people and they think he likes me, but I am still debating it. We have talked, but small talk. I want to tell him how I feel, but what if he doesn't feel the same and it is completly akward between us. If I do decide to talk to him, what should I say without sounding weird or creepy?
